School of advanced studies

Prospective research school is the brand new department of the Tyumen State University. It is guided by principles, has curricula and is implemented by people that differ from those of the rest of the University.

Education is regarded as a continuous process, with the communication, its critical component, occurring not only in the classroom but also in the refectory and in student lounges.

The concept proposed by UNK project architects does not get rid of training rooms but expands the range of training options: the solitary work spaces transformed to match different scenarios and large audiences for several groups were designed. The comprehensive educational environment is shaped not only by different scales of audiences but recreation areas. Changeability and flexibility here are the basics of creative, designed-based thinking that is shaped by the school space itself.
