The “Garden Cafe”

The authors of "Garden Cafe" project suggest guests of the "Grad" shopping centre in Voronezh to feel a comfortable atmosphere and rest in the orange grove. The uniqueness of this project is that architects were required to locate the cafe in front of the central entrance in such a way that it could not fence a signboard of well-known brand shop. Furthermore, the cafe had to have a full-fledged cuisine and fenced-off territory. Taking these constraints into consideration, architects have got an idea not to build on a cafe but to deepen it.

Authors have removed a ceiling, arranged a space as a riverbed by decorating riverbanks with gravel and planted trees. The organic shape of relief, effect of high ceiling and plenty of greenery let clients to escape from vanity and merge into the atmosphere of tranquillity.
