Common areas of the shopping center “Mayak”

The task for a workshop was to make shopping center a place unusual and at the same time family, for the recreation of people of all age. Architects developed some concepts. At creation of projects for "Mayak" authors tried to place emphasis on the name of shopping center to make an interior recognizable but at the same time to escape banal "sea" subjects. That is how an idea of strips in complex setting appeared. First of all it was decided to divide floors by colors as beacon beams. Therefore each level of the center supports all-striped idea and has its own color. It was also made to simplify orientation in space.
